The other day I was perusing my usual list of websites that I visit on a daily basis, and I came across a story about an art project called "The Vader Project". Basically, a hundred of today's most prominent artists, both pop and otherwise, were given movie replica Darth Vader helmets to decorate, paint, adorn, bejewel, bedazzel (sp?), as they please. My first click on the link was "Cool, what a neat thing to do", plus all the helmets will be auctioned off to any die hard Star Wars fans. I like the Star Wars movies, but I am far from being a die-hard fan, but there were a few that I thought would be cool to own. (Although with things like this, where would I really put it?).
Nonetheless, the space that the helmets were being shown was right across from one of my favorite lunch and dinner spots, California Chicken Cafe, on Melrose Blvd. What a cool coincidence! Needless to say, after my usual three piece dark, with two sides combo, I went over and took some cool photos of the Vader artwork. Take a look!

DV if he had a disco outfit.
One of the more popular helmets of the show, the Tokidoki DV. Cool huh?
A Dole inspired Bananna Darth V. Funky.
USA Darth. Go America!
Darth Vader's Helmet closet.
A Paul Frank Darth Vader Helmet. Yes, that's leather.
It's really cool what you can find out there when you're not really looking. I'm glad I was able to see this exhibit - really cool stuff!!!
Lastly, I am so excited to be shooting the wedding of Tina and Justin this Saturday! Images to be posted soon! Have a great day everyone :)
